Laddie A. Kirkland

Kirkland, Laddie Autrey, age 91 of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Florida. Mr. Kirkland was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. A veteran serving in the US Army Air Force during WWII, Mr. Kirkland continued his civil service career and retired as a Production Control Specialist following 32 years of service. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lola Guider Kirkland in 1997, his parents, Calvin A. and Nettie Pearl (Corder) Kirkland and his grandson, Robert V. Likes. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Judith Ann and Richard Rice; granddaughters and husbands, Debra Lynn Likes-Schroer and Ken, Jaki Lynn Likes-Oquendo and Marco, all of Florida; great grandchildren, Sterling Tidwell, Rachel Schroer Ruis, Jared Schroer, Jasper, Jennifer, and Jasmine Oquendo; great-great granddaughters, Sarah and Sophia; sisters in-law, Donna Hatcher and Alice Galyon, both of Lenoir City; special nephews and wives, Billy and Mary Jo “Pete” Hatcher, Ronnie and Jessie Hatcher and Mike Hatcher. Services honoring and remembering the life of Laddie Kirkland will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 24th, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev. Donnie Crass officiating. Interment 10:00 AM Wednesday in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, Loudon.
